Happy Easter Everyone!

Here at Smarty Paws, we love chocolate. But, of course, it is no good for our gorgeous dogs! However, this does not mean that you can’t include them in some wonderful alternative Easter activities. Here a few ideas of fun ways to celebrate that include your dog!

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter egg hunts are somewhat traditional for all the family, why not include your dog by swapping chocolate eggs for healthy dog treats or perhaps carrots? Dogs love to run around, and including something dog-friendly and edible will ensure that they can join in this fun game of hide and seek. This is a great game for everyone – young and old!

Go for a lovely long walk

We can all get carried away and overindulge on too many Easter chocolate-y treats. Why not get out into the countryside or your local park and enjoy a long walk with family, friends and, of course, your dog. This can be one way to work off a few of the extra chocolate calories, and will be certain to create lovely memories for everyone involved. Why not take your dog’s favourite toy and maybe even a picnic, make a day out of it?

Homemade dog treats
Why not treat your dog to something extra special, and bake them their very own dog treats! You could even include their favourite food flavours!

We recommend these gorgeous peanut butter and bacon glazed bones, find the recipe below:

We wish you, your dogs and your entire families a wonderful Easter and we look forward to seeing you soon for a trim!
