Beeston born and raised. I have always had a passion for dogs of all breeds and sizes!
At the age of fourteen I had a wonderful opportunity to complete work experience in a dog grooming salon. This sparked my professional career as I was offered a part-time role which progressed to full time when I finished school.
Over the next ten years I worked in two different salons gaining hands on experience, I realised that I wanted to take my passion even further. I took a leap of faith and became self-employed, renting a space and achieving my Level 3, City and Guilds qualification.
After 18 months, I decided to follow my heart and open my own salon in my special hometown, Beeston. I am proud to share that Smarty Paws is now an award-winning salon! I am thrilled and delighted with the support and fantastic feedback we have received from our loyal customer base since we opened over six years ago. we have now expanded and opened a second salon in Beeston in September 2023!
I am a very proud owner to 4 dogs, my smallest but the boss of the house Bruno, a Jack Russel mix. Two Standard Poodles, Finnegan, and Delilah in my spare time I enjoy showing Delilah and have been to cruft’s numerous times. Finally, my Boxer Dodger, who always keeps me on my toes.
Working with all your beautiful dogs is the best thing in the world. I am so privileged to spend every day doing what I love for a living, I could not imagine doing anything else!
