The breed of dog and the time since their last groom will dictate the type of treatment that we provide. Our preferred approach is to create a treatment that is customised around your dog’s specific needs. A few of our more popular treatments are shown below:

The Full Groom
This is our most popular treatment. First of all the condition of your dog’s skin and coat will be assessed for general wellbeing (visual heath check) and checked for any matting of the coat. We then carry out a deep cleansing shampoo and condition using specialist products to suit your dog followed by drying the coat with high quality dryers to achieve the perfect finish. A full hair clipping to a style of your choice or in line with the standard for their breed. Finishing with nails clipped, ears plucked/cleaned and cologne applied if you wish. Your dog is then clean, fresh, smart and ready to be collected.

Tidy Up
A great value treatment that will leave your dog clean and smelling great. We carry out the same shampooing service as in The Full Groom but only trim the hair around the hygiene areas, eyes and feet. Nails are clipped and ear hair is removed/cleaned if needed.

Puppies
Puppies are welcome after all vaccinations are completed. Puppies first grooming session will depend on the individual pup, our priority is to keep your puppy as happy and stress free as possible. Your new puppy with benefit from new sights, sounds and smells of the grooming environment from an early age and become accustom to being handled. With a puppies first groom it’s a case of what you can do as opposed to what you want to do. Many puppies first experience has a lasting impression and with a life time of grooming head of him or her a good experience is so important.

De-Matting
I groom humanly and abide by The Animal Welfare Act. If the dog is presented to me in a severely matted and uncomfortable condition, I will seek the owner’s permission to de-matt by clipping the coat very short or shaving. This method of de-matting is painless for the animal and allows the skin to breathe and recover, thereby encouraging a new and healthy coat to develop. Occasionally, after shaving sores or red skin may be revealed where dirt, infection or parasites have accumulated under the matting. Your vet will advise you of any treatment you may require. At the next groom I will begin re-shaping and styling the coat according to breed type or/ owners requirements. I will be very happy to explain how to prevent future problems and maintain your dog’s coat.
