This post will focus on how long your dog should go between grooms, and why it is so important to stay in a regular grooming routine…enjoy!
Here at Smarty Paws, we are so grateful for your loyalty. We love seeing you and your dogs, and respect your dedication to getting your dog groomed regularly. It makes such a difference to the job we do and improves the quality of life your dog experiences. We think it is so important that the grooming experience is a stress-free one, and do everything we can to ensure it is positive.
When a dog’s coat is not groomed regularly it can make grooming difficult. It can cause great discomfort for your dog, and can also result in more grooming which can be costly. It can affect the whole grooming dynamic and can be stressful for both dog and groomer.
To encourage regular grooming, we are introducing a £1 fee per week over the recommended grooming period. For example, if your dog should be groomed every 6-8 weeks this would cost £35. If your dog is not groomed until 10 weeks, this would cost £37, and at 15 weeks this would cost £42. An overdue groom can be much more difficult and can take far longer, for this reason, we feel it is only fair to increase the cost.
