Happy New Year!
Firstly, I would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you, to each and every one of my customers – for your support, your loyalty, your repeat business, and your recommendations. I couldn’t do the job I love without you!
The 2016 highlights for me were, our open day celebrating Smarty Paws 1st Birthday. We managed to raise £160 for Babbington Dog Rescue center, which we saved and took for them in-between Christmas and New Year – along with 3 large bags of donations, full of toys, blankets, towels, coats/jumpers etc.
Secondly, I achieved an internationally recognised dog grooming Qualification (City and Guilds – Level 3) something I’ve always wanted to achieve. So for 2017:
What an exciting year it’s going to be for Smarty Paws,
Smarty Paws is getting its own salon! As you may know, at the moment we run Smarty Paws within Paws Groomers. This has been fantastic opportunity to meet lots of lovely new clients and their pooches, and for me to start Smarty Paws itself. We will be relocating to Beeston (5 minute walk from the square shopping centre with a public carpark across the road).
We are committed to making it into an amazing luxury dog grooming salon for your best friend – investing in up to date equipment and ensuring it’s completely built for the dog’s welfare and safety.
‘OPENING SATURDAY 4TH MARCH’
An enormous thank you to the lovely Karen at Paws Groomers for allowing me to rent a table for 18months! She has been incredibly supportive, giving me the chance to fulfil my potential here. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to take this step in my career and have definitely gained a good friend for life in Karen.
A quick January/Winter tip:
When your dog comes in from the snow, ice or sleet, be sure to thoroughly wipe down their paws and stomach. He or she may have rock salt, antifreeze or other potentially dangerous chemicals on their paws which, if ingested, can cause severe stomach problems. Antifreeze should especially be watched for as it can lead to kidney failure. In addition, paw pads may be cut from hard snow or encrusted ice, so it’s important to check them over and treat them accordingly.
