Payments & Pricing:
We accept cash and card payments (excluding American Express).
Payment is due upon collection of your dog, unless otherwise stated.
Prices are subject to change if additional time is required.
Smarty Paws exclusively grooms small to medium breed dogs. We reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings for large or giant breeds.
Extremely matted, thick-coated, or difficult dogs will incur additional charges.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments:
No charge for cancellations with adequate notice (minimum 48 hours).
Missed appointments or cancellations without sufficient notice will incur a fee (see Q&As for fee details).
Collection & Late Arrival:
We will provide an estimated completion time and call you when your dog is ready.
Please collect your dog within 15–30 minutes of notification to avoid extra charges.
If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, we may be unable to groom your dog, and a fee will apply. A “Bath & Brush” may be offered instead of a “Full Groom” in this instance.
Matting & Coat Condition:
Clipping matted hair may cause skin irritation, uncovering nicks, cuts, and sores.
Smarty Paws is not liable for post-grooming effects of matted clipping or problems found on neglected coats, including but not limited to: itchiness, skin redness, or self-inflicted irritations.
Health & Safety:
We take utmost care for your dog’s health, safety, and wellbeing.
Smarty Paws is not liable for pre-existing conditions found during grooming.
Any advice given by the groomer should be followed up with your vet.
Grooming Record & Information:
All clients must complete and sign a Smarty Paws Grooming Record form.
Please inform us of any medical problems, allergies, etc.
Please inform us of any changes to your contact details.
Aggressive Dogs:
You must inform us if your dog has bitten or shown aggressive tendencies.
A muzzle may be used if necessary.
Smarty Paws reserves the right to refuse to groom aggressively behaving dogs. The owner will be contacted for collection, and a fee will apply.
Injury & Illness:
In the event of injury or illness, veterinary care may be sought at the owner’s expense.
Photography:
Your dog may be photographed before, during, and after grooming.
These photos may be used on our website and social media unless you request otherwise.
