This year has been one of the most challenging and difficult for all of us. Here at Smarty Paws we have our fingers, toes, paws and tails crossed for a brighter 2021!
Today we will be closing our doors for the last time this year, which has really got me thinking…this year has been beyond tough for all of us. It was heart-breaking to close for lockdown, and wow how we missed you all so much. Our customers and dogs are like family and it was awful to be separate from you for so long. It was especially challenging not being able to run our day care service, but thank you so much for all the regular pupdates, they really helped us to remain sane! We cannot wait to be reunited with you all on a regular basis.
We worked so hard through lockdown to prepare for reopening in a way which would keep the team, customers and dogs safe. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all of the incredible support you have given to me and the team, purchasing gift vouchers has allowed us to keep going and remain hopeful that we could get through this – and look forward to the time those vouchers would be redeemed.
My Standard Poodle, Finnegan, had just turned four months old during the first lockdown, having him join me and my other dog Bruno has been such a big fluffy positive that has helped to brighten some of the dark days. I can’t wait for you all to see how much he has grown!
Finally, I wanted to share a great achievement, and something that I am so proud of… Smarty Paws has been awarded the Best Dog Grooming Salon in Nottingham! This would not have been possible without the hard work of the team, but most of all our loyal and kind customers and their precious pups.
