Just a quick blog post to say we are very excited for a new year, and have lots of exciting news for you all in the near future. It’s going to be a busy year for Smarty Paws!

At the beginning of a new year we all like to make sure we’re starting it off on the right foot, or in your dogs case right paw!
One of the most important things (yet most overlooked!) is getting your dog an ID tag. Not just a cute accessory, it is mandatory requirement for pet owners in the UK.
As of the Control Of Dogs Order (1992), it is a legal requirement that your gorgeous dogs have identification such as a dog tag. If dogs are found without ID, the law states that your dog can be seized and treated as a ‘stray dog’. Just something to beware of should your dog go missing!
A dog tag must include the name and address (including postcode) of the owner. It is optional to include your phone number, however we would recommend this. It can make things much easier should anyone need to contact you!
